BET Investments, Inc. develops, leases and manages shopping centers, apartments, student housing, office buildings and mixed-use projects throughout the United States. We are looking for an experienced executive assistant to work directly with our President and VP, General Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with personnel at our various properties while completing a variety of complex, highly responsible, administrative and secretarial support functions. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:

Track commercial tenant prospects and letter of intent negotiations.
Setup and participate in bi-weekly calls with Commercial Brokers regarding prospective tenants.
Participate in management of Commercial Brokers to encourage their productivity.
Draft simple Lease Amendments, including extensions of term.
Coordinate delivery of underwriting materials (e.g., leases, survey, rent rolls, operating statements, etc.) to appraisers for real estate financing.
Create and modify organizational documents, including resolutions, consents, partnership agreements, etc.
Assist in assembling SNDAs and Estoppels for acquisitions, dispositions and financing.
Coordinate the execution and delivery of closing documents in acquisitions, dispositions and financing.
Assist Lease Administration in lease tracking, abstracting, rent commencement, filing and data entry.
Track outside attorneys in collection efforts against commercial tenants.

Education & Skills
Candidates must have two to more years of experience in the field of real estate/property management, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional telephone skills and etiquette. This position requires excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to keep detailed documentation.
