Posting Summary



Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. This position will to serve as the essential liaison between the dean, staff, faculty and students within the school, volunteers, and central offices within the university as well as to external entities and stakeholders.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:


Coordinates and oversees the Deans day-to-day planning and realization of the tasks at hand, coordinating long-range goals, and anticipating/managing change.
Manages Deans calendars, meetings, and Transportation and Logistics, and serves as the first line for routine requests and communications.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience


Requires a Bachelors degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.





Certifications/Licenses






Preferred Qualifications


Three to five years of administrative management experience preferably in an academic setting.
Exceptional interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.





Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
Must have knowledge of systems associated with scheduling and planning and/or the ability to learn quickly.
Must have proven written and oral communication skills and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
