JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. Perform clerical support functions for the Clinical Records Department including scanning paperwork into the Electronic Health Record, retrieving and re-filing Clinical Records. Maintain record room security and confidentiality.
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday - 1:00PM - 5:00PM
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous clerical experience preferred.
Must be able and willing to learn basic computer functions.
Must be flexible and able to work independently.
Must be able to work evening hours and change schedule when required.
COVID-19 Vaccination or willingness to receive vaccination required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Accurately scan all clinical information/forms in appropriate section of the clients records on a daily basis.
Pull clinical records in response to record requests.
Re-file records returned.
Import and/or print all e-mail(s) sent to the Clinical Records Scanning address on a daily basis.
Perform light typing as requested.
Perform Xeroxing as requested.
Answer telephone politely and professionally and respond to requests or take messages as directed while ensuring confidentiality.
Prepare records for off-site storage.
Participate in records audits when requested. Audit charts for correctness of format.
Run computer reports as requested.
Complete all requests assigned from Remedy Force for assistance with the Electronic Health Record.
Master understanding of Avatar as it relates to Health Information Services.
Monitoring inventory of supplies and assist with the ordering of supplies for the department.
Assist with the monthly printing of information to be released to Social Security from the Electronic Health Record.
Stamp, sort and distribute all incoming agency mail to the various departments.
Maintain record room security by (a) ensuring the record room is never left unattended; (b) locking the suite when leaving for the evening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to perform physical demands of position, such as bending/lifting/kneeling associated with filing, lifting records in excess of ten (10) pounds.
