Job Summary

The Claims Assistant Call Center employees primary objective is to take the first report on incoming claim calls. In addition, they will assist the claims team by performing routine Clerical and Administrative and administrative duties such as: providing customer assistance, data processing, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

Answer the telephone system and direct calls accordingly as 1st contact with the insured

New Loss Report Review

Assist in the handling of Incident Files (Clerical and Administrative support to assist with file creation and issuance of letters)

Assist claims team as needed

Assign claims to adjusters

Send and review claims to 3rd party contractor for claims set up

Set up new claims received that are not able to be sent to 3rd party

assist with data entry in claim files.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in a call center or insurance agency environment.

In addition to experience with Clerical and Administrative office duties.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite and various forms of technology.

Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

Keen eye for details and data.

High School Diploma required

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $20 to $25 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific positions business line, scope and level.
