Job Summary
The Full-Time Administrative Assistant for Economic and Business Development / Sustainability Office / Social Services is a position that will provide support to multiple Departments. Responsible for aiding the Department Heads and Office Administrators in the day-to-day administrative duties in the departments.
This is an entry level position with a focus on administrative tasks, scheduling and administering events, and meetings; completing research for programs; locating resources and information for residents/businesses the departments serve, maintaining the digital media outreach and creative projects engaging the public. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent customer service skills, an approachable personality with the ability to handle challenges and possess problem solving abilities. Background in social media management, using platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, familiar with many different softwares. Assisting the departments with senior programs, food pantry appointments, food distributions, holiday distributions, along with monthly senior events, ribbon cuttings, business social events and commission meetings. Assists office administers with several popular community-engagement programs and projects. Candidates should be highly organized, self-motivated, and have a strong creative sense. Job Responsibilities
Coordinating with the Office Administrators on events, projects, research, and reports
Assisting business owners and visitors with requests and concerns Responding timely to emails and phone calls

Collaborating with committees and other departments
Working collaboratively to create and develop new programs for the departments
Creating, editing, and posting content to social media
Assisting with the coordination and planning of events
Supporting the Director and Office Administrator in miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skills & Abilities - High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to work with a diverse resident/business population
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Social media in a business platform
Outstanding customer service skills
The employee must have the capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
New Jersey Driver"s License

Salary $38,000.00 per year
